Psalm 4
“Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Be gracious to me and hear my prayer. But know that the LORD has set apart the godly man for Himself; The LORD hears when I call to Him. Tremble and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed and be still. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and trust in the LORD. Many are saying, who will show us any good? Lift up the light of Your countenance upon us, O LORD! You have put gladness in my heart. More than when their grain and new wine abound. In peace, I will both lie down and sleep. For You alone, O LORD, make me to dwell in safety.”

What a beautiful song of Psalm 4 that we sang to begin our morning together. Our team is praising God for the wonderful sleep we had last night, and that we dwell in the Lord’s safety. This was a great reminder as we dive into Eschatology, the study of the future, End Times, for the next five days.
Here is a few wonderful pictures of our group studying together with our friends. We are experiencing a beautiful picture on earth of what eternity will look like - all the nations, every language, tongue and tribe worshipping the Lord forever. What a great reminder too that Jesus loves the world. It is such an honor and privilege to be ambassadors for Him. Do you live your life everyday in light of this truth? You don't have to go to Dubai to do this!
Martin began our new study with an Introduction to the Nature of God and God’s Plan of End Times or Eschatology. He reminded us that in the end Jesus wins, and we do too who are His children! What a comfort that brings.
After our Introduction to Eschatology lesson, we enjoyed our daily tea time (and coffee). This is such a great time for all of us to connect and learn more about each other's cultures and a time of reflection and sharing. Look at these amazing snacks below!
We would also love to take this time to share the supplies that our leaders are have received from your generous giving. Each participant was given an Amazon Tablet with all of the lecture notes for both our Ecclesiology & Eschatology lessons. This tablet is what they use each day to follow along with all of the lessons. In the past our team put together large notebooks with printed copies but moving to the tablet model has been beneficial on many levels both transportation and duplication. Our leaders will take these tablets back to their country of Pakistan and they can duplicate the PDF files and share with others as they disciple and evangelize. We are so grateful for this new creative way to share our teaching materials.
After tea time, AJ came up and taught about Covenants- Abrahamic, Mosaic, Davidic and New Covenant. The group discussed several topics related to Eschatology such as how the Abrahamic Covenant and the New Covenant are related, the relationship between Israel and the church, and the Time of the Gentiles. We were all encouraged and reminded how faithful God is to keep all of His promises!
After AJ's lesson, Jeremy came up and taught about the Kingdom of God. We looked at the fact of the Kingdom of God, What is the Kingdom of God, what does prophesy say about the Kingdom of God, the characteristics of the Kingdom of God, who is in the Kingdom of God and the entry, what is the believer's responsibility, parables of the Kingdom of God, and the future coming manifestation of the Kingdom of God.
After Jeremy's lesson, we headed to lunch. We have enjoyed all the variety of food and our amazing wait staff and chefs that have cooked our food. Here's some lunch time fun especially in the elevators!
After lunch, Martin taught a lesson on Prophecy. We were reminded that at the heart of all Scripture is Prophecy. We discussed the two types of Prophesy forth-telling (speaking for God about God and His Will) and fore-telling (speaking of things that would happen in the future). Afterwards, we were able to have some break out discussion time with the FB ladies and Hunook ladies connecting together; as well as the FB men and Hunook men. Our teams plan to continue this format beginning today through the end of our conference on Sunday.
The ladies had a wonderful time today with our first break out session. Denise and Jennifer decided to share one of our favorite pampering items as we discussed our favorite Scriptures and what we are learning from the conference. We look forward to discussing questions and applications with the conference throughout our next few days.
Our FB Dubai team each day enjoys some relaxing time walking and exploring Sharjah in the afternoon while the leaders are debriefing with our missionary. Here are some of our "favorite things" in Sharjah. We enjoy walking along the canal that connects to the Persian Gulf and visiting the Souk (an Arabian marketplace).
Thank you so much for all of your prayers and support. We are feeling them and please keep them coming. Please continue to pray for strength and endurance as the Holy Spirit continues to guide us in His truth.
