Team Training - Rachel
Hello everyone! My name is Rachel, and I am a junior in high school. This is my first year going to Costa Rica. I am very excited!
Today I am going to tell you all about our third meeting. During this meeting Group Dynamics came to set up games for us to play to help with team building.
We played four games. My favorite game we played was a game where we separated into two teams and everyone was holding a their own string all connected to a ring in the middle holding a ball. The goal of the game was to get through an obstacle course without letting our ball fall of the ring in the middle. In the end we had to have our ball resting on a cone without falling off. This game was so much fun! The rest of the meeting we spent going over all of our team assignments.
I am generally a more quiet person and in a lot of circumstances I usually don’t speak up or tell anyone my ideas. My main takeaway from this meeting was that even people who don’t have very strong leadership personalities have good ideas and everyone’s ideas are useful and valuable. I also learned a lot about my fellow team mates and who already has great leadership personalities!
As you read this, I hope you remember how God made you and how much He loves you. I pray that you are encouraged by our trip and that you would challenge yourself and step out in your faith!
